Born in Manila, Philippines, Joselee Sarmiento and her family moved to the United States when she was two years old. She grew up in San Diego, California with her two older sisters and a younger brother. Her compassionate nature drew her to a career in nursing. She attended San Diego State University where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. After graduating, she moved to Corona and worked at Riverside Community Hospital. She worked on the medical/surgical floor for two years, then on the medical intensive care unit for three years, where she gained valuable knowledge and experience. After five years of being a registered nurse, Joselee decided to advance her career and became a Nurse Practitioner. She moved to Los Angeles where she attended UCLA and obtained her Master of Science in Nursing with an emphasis in Family Practice. She concurrently works with Dr. Bridget Briggs at a family practice clinic in Temecula, California, since 2002. Years of experience as a registered nurse and being a family nurse practitioner, Joselee has seen how one's mental health can impact their physical health and vice versa. Her experience has allowed her to observe the interplay of the mind, body and spirit. She acknowledges the importance in treating her patients holistically. Her integrative and comprehensive style, along with her compassionate nature has enabled her to be a successful and popular practitioner. Her interest in psychiatry and mental health has led her to The Dr. De LLanos Clinic. She is currently working on her Post Master's Certificate in Psychiatric and Mental Health. Joselee shares Dr. De LLanos' philosophy in medicine and is excited in joining his exceptional staff. Joselee is a member of Sigma Theta Tau Nursing Honor Society since 2002. She lives locally with her wonderful husband and son. Joselee Sarmiento, NP, is currently accepting new and follow-up patients at the Dr. De LLanos Clinic, located at 32605 Temecula Parkway, Suite 219, Temecula, California and is available for weekday appointments for children, adolescents and adults.
