Born and raised in the beautiful Wasatch Mountains of Northern Utah, Jim Jacobsen has developed a deep-seated affinity for the environment and a thorough appreciation of the healing influences of nature and a life maintained in balance. Son of a career educator led to a life always on the move, full of opportunity to travel and experience the diversity of the world. Having lived on both coasts, New York, Washington D.C., Salt Lake City, Los Angeles, and dozens of places in between, has instilled in Jim a genuine multicultural connection with others. His extensive travels abroad are highlighted by two years working among the descendents of Guarani Indians in Asuncion, Paraguay, South America. Highly successful in education, athletics, and business, 25 years experience has focused Jim's career goals in the direction of his innate nature. His work in the corporate, government, public and private sector has included: Utah State Division of Family Services; Assistant Program Director, West Los Angeles Institute of Mental Disorders; San Bernardino County DPSS Special Services, Adoptions; Riverside County Department of Mental Health, Clinical Therapist II; Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. Jim is a Cum Laude graduate from Utah State University, Bachelor of Science, Psychology 1985; Pepperdine University, Master of Arts, Clinical Psychology, 1998. Educational and professional achievements include: Teaching Assistantships in Developmental Psychology and Career Development; Psi Chi and Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Societies; California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists.
